THE BROKEN CHAIN  / The Washam's (RUSTY'S FAMILY )
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, but as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again Close

YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN  / Kayla Washam (Cousin)

You will always be in my heart. I love you and miss you so much. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about you. Rusty had many wonderful qualities about him but there is not enough room on this page to mention them all, but many people remember, his beautiful smile and most of all his sacrifice. RUSTY YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN AND WILL ALWAYS BE A TRUE HERO.

Rusty I miss you everyday and I wish you would have got to see your new little niece she's beautiful and I finally took your advise and named her after the bravest person I know. Her name is Rustie Abbigayle and I know she will make you as proud as you have made us. WE LOVE YOU LITTLE BROTHER AND WE WILL NEVER FORGET  Close

Just wanted to say that I am truly sorry for your lost.  I think about Rusty and I truly believe he believed in what he was fighting for.  Rusty left a wonderful statement for his family and sons to be proud of.  I remember seeing Rusty at a ball game when Brad was playing and watching him with some of his classmates when he came into the gym with the little baby boy.  I still see his smiling face.  He will always be a part of our memories.  Thank you for all that you have done to continue with his believes and thoughts.

Thank you, and God bless you.

I wish I could say this stuff to you instead of typing it out.  I miss you Rusty.  I think of you everyday.  I still remember the sound of your voice and hopefully always will.  We are a proud family.  We retired your jersey at Scott High last night.  I wasn't there but I thought of you the whole time.  Take care of Scott and everyone up there.  I'll see you again someday.

Love you,

Donny Close
